01 // About
I'm Mohamod Sahil Ansari, a DevOps Engineer currently based in Taastrup, Copenhagen, Denmark. With over three years of hands-on experience at Khalti Pvt. Ltd. and Bent Ray Technologies, I've built fully automated CI/CD pipelines, managed Kubernetes clusters at scale, and provisioned cloud infrastructure using Terraform & Terragrunt on AWS.
I'm in the final stage of a Master's in CyberSecurity at Aalborg University Copenhagen (graduating June 25, 2026), deepening my expertise in network intrusion detection, vehicular network security, and privacy-preserving technologies — bridging reliable infrastructure with robust security.
I hold a BSc in Computer Science & IT from Tribhuwan University (Nepal) and am a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). Outside work, I love outdoor sports, traveling to new places, trying local cuisines, and reading.

Semester Projects
Researched cybersecurity threats targeting vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs), exploring attack vectors and proposing defence mechanisms for V2V and V2I communications.
Developed and evaluated a Network Intrusion Detection System for IoT environments, addressing challenges of resource-constrained devices and heterogeneous traffic patterns.
Investigated ethical and technical trade-offs between individual privacy rights and societal security, analyzing lawful data access frameworks and privacy-preserving technologies.
Designed a custom Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF), grounded in ISO/IEC 25010, to comparatively assess Zeek, Suricata, and Snort 3 across detection accuracy, performance, and operational quality characteristics. Validated the framework using a controlled three-VM testbed against four distinct attack scenarios, producing a reproducible, criteria-based methodology for selecting open-source intrusion detection and prevention tools. Supervised by Jannick Kirk Sørensen.
